Why LingoKey exists
Moving text between a conversation and a separate translator adds repeated steps. LingoKey puts translation controls beside the text field so you can write, choose a language pair, request a translation, review it, and keep going in the same compatible app.
LingoKey is designed for messages, email, browser text fields, productivity tools, and social apps that allow third-party keyboards. iOS may use the system keyboard in secure fields or in apps that disable third-party keyboards.
How the product works
After installing LingoKey, you add it once in iOS Settings and select it with the globe key. Translation requires a network connection and Full Access because iOS grants network connectivity to third-party keyboards through that permission.

Languages and translation controls
The keyboard provides dedicated input for Simplified Chinese, English, Spanish, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, and European Portuguese, including supported regional variants. Its target selector includes more than 100 languages and regional variants. The current in-app catalog remains the source of truth as coverage changes.
