LingoKey Privacy Policy

LingoKey respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we process to provide keyboard translation, account sync, and subscription services.

We store the information needed to run your account, including your email address, account authentication information, subscription status, app language, keyboard source language, and target language. We use this information to sign you in, sync settings, verify subscriptions, and keep the service available.

If you use Sign in with Apple or App Store subscriptions, we process identifiers and subscription information provided by Apple to authenticate your account and verify subscription status.

When you actively request a translation from the keyboard, LingoKey sends the text you chose to translate to our backend so we can generate and return the translation. We do not proactively read text that you have not asked LingoKey to translate. Full Access does not allow LingoKey to read everything you type. Text is sent only when you request translation.

LingoKey does not access your contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, or other data unrelated to keyboard translation. Full Access for the keyboard is used only so the keyboard can communicate with LingoKey services, read account status, and complete translation requests.

We may use service providers, including cloud hosting, error monitoring, and AI translation infrastructure, to operate LingoKey. These providers process data only as needed to provide the service.

We may record necessary error details and request status information to troubleshoot login, subscription, and translation issues. This information is used only to improve, secure, and maintain the service.

We retain account and subscription records only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security.

You can sign out at any time to stop the current account session. You can delete your account directly in the LingoKey app settings. Account deletion permanently removes your LingoKey account record from our service. App Store subscriptions remain managed by Apple through App Store subscription settings.
